Red-fone Fonebridge2 Single T1/E1 Low Cost

The Red-fone FoneBridge2 is a digital device that supports T1/E1 communications in single, dual and quad port configurations. This is an external device that connects with your Elastix servers via the network using a TDMoE (TDM over Ethernet) protocol.

A very important aspect of these devices is that they allow for high availability in Elastix (or Asterisk). The Low Cost version of the FoneBridge2 comes with one ethernet port. There is a small utility that you install in both of your Elastix servers. When the FoneBridge2 detects that the master server is out of service, it switches to use the slave automatically.

Please note that this device needs a dedicated ethernet port in your Elastix/Asterisk server.

This model comes with one (1) T1/E1 port, no Hardware Echo Cancellation, and the unit is not upgradeable to more than one T1/E1 port.
